“SUN-UP SOUL” from Miles Gilderdale & Shilts.

“Sun-Up Soul” sees a collaboration between fellow Brits Miles Gilderdale and Shilts. Being long-time fans of Funk & Soul AND of each other’s work the two decided to team up on this irresistible and up-beat composition. Paying homage to the productions of Quincy Jones & Rod Temperton, Barry White, The Crusaders ….. in fact ALL ‘Soul Royalty’, the chaps do what they like to do best …… get in the groove and have some fun! – Hey these guys are British, they know all about royalty right?!

“Sun-up Soul” is a slight departure for guitarist Miles Gilderdale who you will probably know better from his main gig in “Acoustic Alchemy”. However, those who are well acquainted with him will remember that back in the ‘80s Miles had considerable success with his own 8 piece funk-soul outfit at home in the UK ….. so maybe not SO surprising!

Shilts as you all know is no stranger to funk & soul grooves.  With 5 successful solo albums under his belt and years spent as the front-man for urban jazz funk export ‘Down To The Bone’, Shilts brings his signature, high octane tenor sax style to this wicked tune.

“Sun-Up Soul” …. Throw back the blinds, pour a coffee, (or a nice cup of tea) and get your GROOVE on -

  It’s a BEAUTIFUL DAY!!
